Nederland - Sri Lanka Peace Foundation

I would like to welcome you to the site of Nederland Sri Lanka Peace Foundation. I am Francis Perera. I am the founder of the Nederland Sri Lanka Peace foundation. Since 1996 I have been helping the poor people of Sri Lankawith supplying spectacles, wheel chairs, food for orphanage and I also supplied clothing. I am born in Sri Lanka . I am no stranger to the problems some of the Sri Lankans suffer.

I spoke to someone, who went to Sri Lanka and he said that there were lots of fancy cars on the streets of Sri Lanka . He told me that you hardly can see that Sri Lanka is a third world country.This person had a total wrong image of Sri Lanka . I asked him” Have you ever been to government hospital in Sri Lanka?” He looked at me with an amazed look on his face. I had to make him clear that his thoughts would change if he entered a government hospital. There are patients lying on the ground, because there are not enough beds. The bed sheets are dirty. I thought I got to expand the aid for the poor people of Sri Lanka .

In 2005 I decided to establish the foundation called “Nederland – Sri Lanka Peace Foundation”. Thanks to all the people, churches and schools from our city. We can help the poor people with clothing, wheel chairs, spectacles, water pumps, school stationary and financial support for students. We keep continuing to depend on the help of the people who are willing to contribute to the people in need in Sri Lanka .
